Many people feel alone, lonely and abandoned. Some are happy with a small circle of friends, others with a large one. People are different. But basically everyone wants to have friends. Especially when your private environment changes, for example after a separation or a move, you often find yourself forced to look for new friends.
Of course, everyone knows where to look for and find friends. Friendships don't happen from one day to the next, they have to develop. It's not impossible that the guy from the supermarket will be your best friend in a few months, or that nice woman from last summer's concert will soon be your closest confidante. This is particularly useful when you move house, as you usually don't know your way around the new city and don't know where to go to meet new friends. Many people also don't like going somewhere alone. You don't necessarily look for friends on the Internet, but you do meet acquaintances who then take you to locations where you can look for friends.
